48 Dog Friendly Trails

I grabbed this book at REI, total impulse buy.

One of the things missing in my other guides is "DOGS ALLOWED"! Unfortunately, many trails do not allow dogs. So, if I do not do my homework, we may end up driving far just to have to either find another place to hike, or leave the dog in the car :(.

This book is written for us dog lovers! It is also divided into months, giving you the best time of year to hike certain trails.

What it is lacking is the detailed index of the other guides. Since I am also looking for elevation, challenge, loop distance, I have to again do a lot of research. Also, no trail maps.

But I love it for ideas, and my Rex loves it too :).
